Alex qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital Medical College in 1998. After completing her fellowship in Dental Surgery in 2001 she travelled to Australia to work as a Resident Dental Officer in Paediatric Dentistry at Westmead and the United Dental Hospital’s, Sydney. She became involved in lecturing for the College of Technical and further Education, teaching dental nurses and students. On her return to the UK she continued working in Hospital and in General Dental Practice, travelling to Romania for charity to help set up a dental clinic for children in the remote villages.

Alex developed an interest in Orthodontics and in the prevention and management of trauma. She completed her MSc in Orthodontics at Warwick University in 2016, where she then continued to be an Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow for the University. She has worked as a Specialty Doctor in Orthodontics for the past 5 years combining this with Private and NHS practice work. In the past year she has been attending a Cosmetic Restorative Dentistry course in London which has given a great insight to overall management of complex multidisciplinary cases.

In her spare time, Alex loves to spend time with her family. She is married, has three children and a Labrador called Meg. She loves to run, read and snowboard.
