Ian Toibin

Ian Started his career as a clinician qualifying as a Dental Therapist and Dental Hygienist in 2001. Since then, he continued his training to qualify as a Dentist in 2009. Having worked as a Specialty Doctor in Orthodontics in the Hospital setting and as a Dentist with a Special Interest in Orthodontics in primary care specialist practice for 6-years, Ian is currently undertaking the postgraduate doctorate course in Orthodontics at Bristol Dental Hospital. Ian has a great deal of experience working in many settings and especially with anxious paediatric patients around the UK, including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool and in the community dental services.

Outside of work, Ian is engaged to be married and is keen on fitness and the outdoors. He loves swimming and especially long runs with his dog Sascha. He has completed 3 full-distance Ironman triathlon races, including the European Championships. Coming from County Cork in Ireland, Ian feels very much at home on the coast in Torquay and looks forward to exploring the coast by Kayak in the summer months.
